Micky D's & the Museum with New Friends

When we moved to Fort Worth about 10 months ago, I met Laura. She and Josh knew each other from work, and before long we were getting to know each other, or in Josh's words, "his world's were colliding." We started emailing, Facebook{ing}, and reading each others' blogs, and instantly became online friends. Several weeks ago, our schedules finally lined up and we decided it was time to meet each other {in person}. We thought it would be a fun to take our boys to Micky D's for lunch and then to the Fort Worth Children's Museum.

Of course, Noah and I were late {30 minutes late!!} to meet them for lunch, because we went to the wrong McDonald's. Oops. Once we realized we were at the wrong one, I called Laura and told her we were on our way. She was really sweet and patient and probably wondering what she got herself into. So I put Noah back in his car seat, set the GPS to the McDonald's I was supposed to go to in the first place, and then sent Laura a text saying "You will quickly learn the Bonjours are always late!" But actually that day we would have been on time because we left in plenty of time to be on time. Psh. See, always late.

Once we got to the right McDonald's, we found Laura and Ian, and finally met our new friends in person! We were meeting for the first time, but it felt like we had known each other for years. Isn't it amazing how God works?!

Laura and I of course talked non-stop. Noah and Ian on the other hand sat next to each other in their highchairs eying each other for a while and probably thinking, "Who are you?" They were so funny.

We went on over to the museum after lunch, and we had the best time. The children's area in the museum is amazing. No joke. They have so many fun activities for the little ones. We will definitely be going back! Here are a few of the pictures I took of us at the museum:

We had such a fun time with our new friends! So glad we were able to finally meet in person, and we are looking forward to our next play date!
