1 Year & 190 Posts Later

I'll never forget the evening I discovered my love for blogging. Josh was in Lubbock working, and my sweet baby Noah {about 6 months old at the time} was sound asleep in his room. The house was quiet, really quiet. But by then, I was used to it being that way in the evenings since Josh was working in Lubbock a couple days a week {am I glad that's over!}. So I sat down at our computer that night, and before I knew it my blog was up and running. I had no idea what I was doing; the blog world was undiscovered territory. I remember wondering if I'd ever figure this blog thing out or if I'd be any good at it. However the more I wrote, the more my blog insecurities began to fade. And here I am today {exactly a year later}, writing my 191st post. Wow! What a great year it has been, and I thank you for being here with me all along, for taking time out of your day to visit our blog, and to share in our lives.

Now I'm starting my second year of blogging, and I am so looking forward to it. But before we move on, I want to do a little celebrating, so I am hosting another giveaway! Because seriously, you deserve it. Plus I love giving away fun stuff.

This giveaway is extra special because it is a handmade item from my fabulous Mom. She is opening up an Etsy store in the next month or two, and she's going to sell a lot of seriously cute, cute stuff. This is her blog & Etsy store header my sweet husband created for her. A.m.a.z.i.n.g!

And for those of you who are Etsy lovers like myself, I'll let you know as soon as she sets up shop. Shall we get on with the giveaway? I think we shall.

Josh was so kind to model for me the other night {but he is going to kill me when he finds out I used this picture!}. I seriously have the cutest husband. Oh, excuse me. Back to the giveaway: an adorable pleated purse perfect for the Spring!

Let's take a closer look at it.

Serious cuteness! I mean, is my mom amazing or what?

Interested? Well, to enter the giveaway it's pretty simple. All you have to do is leave me a comment {in the "comments" below - not on facebook} telling me what your favorite thing about our blog is.

Anyone who reads our blog can enter, and that includes you, guys.
Don't be shy. I know this give away is directed towards the ladies, but
if you win, we will work something out!

The deadline for the giveaway is 10:30 am Friday morning {on February 5th}.
I'm braving it again, and I'm gonna let my little man, Noah, pick
the winning name.

Until then, happy commenting!

My first favorite thing about your Blog is the pictures! I love the pictures of Noah and Einstein. I get the feeling that they are really brothers and always have each other to lean on. The second is your humor about Josh. I think I often find things really funny, because I can relate it back to the family and understand where it comes from. He is so funny and does such funny things, which is absolutely expected considering the gene pool.

I've been blog stalking you probably since you started blogging! I think we only met once through Angie Tankersley.. she is my husband's cousin and we went to the deaf church in Amarillo with her a few times. So although I don't personally know you, I feel like I do after reading your blog! I enjoy that you are so real in your writing, the videos are priceless, and I love the pictures of Mr. Noah! (I have a 2 year old who enjoys the videos as well!)

Keep it up, you are a great blogger!!

Libby, i read your blog because...I HATE READING! yep, there... i said it in full blown colors. you see, just like MOST deaf...reading bores me. ho-hum...no, no, i don't read your blogs....your blogs paint pictures of a realism that i don't get from a book. it's how you word things. you keep things simple and REAL. you're not out to impress anyone. you simply share what's going on in your family and that's it. i love realism. i love lil-noah. he's enough for the high of it all. when im down, hey, read a "Libby Blog" it always pick me up. einstein is a blessing not only for you, but for lil-noah, too. noah, is a blessing for you, but for others....like me. if you didn't blog, i wouldnt have the opportunity to be apart of the blessing. so thanks. thanks for being real. thanks for not being wordy...but paint pictures and showing me the life of the most precious noah and einstein there is! love you gir. cj dunham

Oh, how I love your blogs, let me count thee the ways!

1. Your wondrous ideas about food and your delicious recipes, yummy!

2. The inspiration of seeing your family grow in God's grace.

3. Beautiful pictures of your family. Einstein, Noah and your husband are all exceptionally adorable! By the way, Josh looks cute carrying your purse...

4. Because we love you!

5. And my friend, that is a gorgeous purse.

So yes, I have counted thee the ways, five ways to be exact.

Hmmm...if I write a REALLY looooong comment, does that mean my name gets put in the drawing more than once? That purse is seriously cute! Anyways, congrats on celebrating your first year of blogging! You have definitely set the bar high for the rest of us blogger wanna-bes. We actually have you to thank for having anything of a blog at all. Mine was pretty sparse (okay, pathetic) until I started reading yours. Love your creativity and have been inspired to work harder on mine! Haha - James asked me the other day about something that happened a few months ago. I couldn't remember, so I told him that I'd check the blog. We wouldn't have had those blog memories if you hadn't inspired us all! Btw, I'm seriously thinking about printing that pix of Josh and posting it at work. You don't think he'd mind, would he? :-) I was just kidding about the long comment, but this is turning into a book...sheesh!

I don't know you, but I know Josh and it is fun to see what a beautiful wife God chose for him.
My favorite thing, since I'm new, would be that you have a Noah. I have a Noah also who is three and so I am particularly fond of sweet, energetic boys named Noah.
I look forward to checking your blog out!

Oh maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! *sigh* I was away from your blog for a few days, and look what happened without me. A bee-utiful bag giveaway! (Serious crying being contemplated here.) OK, I am being a little goofy, but I AM sorry I missed this! Congrats to your mom for opening up an ETSY shop! I did that once, but wasn't whole-hearted, and it went by the wayside. I have just recently been contemplating doing it again, and now that I know that Josh can do store headers. Hmmm. We may have to talk. :D I ordered something from ETSY recently from the Etsy Hearts Haiti (something like that). I got this beautiful fabric necklace (maybe wear to church tomorrow?, and the seller donated all the proceeds to Doctors without Borders. It came all the way from Australia!

This was a bit loooong. Oops. I really enjoy your blog, Libby. I am so glad we talked in the church nursery that day, and I found out about its existence! Keep on blogging, and we will keep on reading!
